What can I use to polish the camera glass

The metal button from the inside of my chest pocket on my work coveralls rubbed on the camera lens. It didnt scratch the glass. It just left a film or slight metal deposits on the glass. The phone is new and it looks terrible. How can I polish the glass clean again?

I would highly recommend using Zeiss Portable Tube Lens Cleaning Kit! It cleans up fogged, smudged glass very well! You can order it online or find at Cabelas, there are many products out there, but this is my preferred substance to clean camera glass or lens.

Thanks for the recommendation. However, I need more of a Polish than just a smudge remover. This is a metal smear.

I gotcha! Then I would highly recommend Cerium Oxide Glass Polish! Heres the link! https://www.gtglass.com/glass-scratch-re...

Reasonable price too!

Hold that thought! Many lenses & cover glass are coated! Anything that is abrasive (polishes) will take it off and can effect the quality of the images.

I would first try a good lens cleaner and lens cleaning tissues to see if you can pull the metal flakes off.

I just rub my thumb over it uniformly, but if you want it really clean use a microfiber cloth or Zeiss lens cleaning wipes. Gorrila glass is really tuff stuff, so don't be too worried!

My camera glass was getting hazed up from working in dust. Had to go to a show the next day and decided to try to fix it. After trying methods I found online, I had only succeeded in making it worse. Getting late, I came across some Meguires headlight restorer and figured what the heck. Tried it with a microfiber cloth and, to my surprise, it cleaned it right up. Definitely took off the coating, but really, what good is a hazy coating

Didn't use a sealing compound, just a fine rubbing compound with the microfiber cloth. Nothing fancy. Shame for Lenovo to go and put a fancy camera behind such a scratch prone surface. Any polishing agent is, by nature, going to remove any coating. Admittedly, my solution was a bit on the brute force and ignorance side compared to much more gentle cleaners designed for the purpose of cleaning lenses on cameras or glasses that are available. Mine was a late night trip to Wally World to find a quick solution that seemed to work for me (*results may vary). Thus far, no new hazing has appeared on my Moto Z and I haven't changed anything. I'm guessing the coating is even more prone to scratching than the gorilla glass it's on. Like I said, I'm sure there are gentler methods to fix the problem, just thought I might offer up what worked for me in a bind
