Does the adaptor have a microphone input
I need to know whether or not the microphone input to iphones that was available on the 3.5mm connection is available via the Apple iphone 7 headset adapter

Thanks, just need to to check how Apple verifies that a connected microphone is an Apple mic. Do they check the mic current drain (or impedance)?
