Touchscreen freezing after a short period

A lady brought me her iPhone 6 to see if I could do anything with it.

For no apparent reason the phone will just freeze and nothing you do can make it work again except for restarting the device, then it only lasts a few minutes.

I have restored the device as a new iPhone also restored from a backup.

Any ideas?

If the phone has been never opened before / no physical damage and never been liquid damaged then it's probably the touch IC controller chip on the board being at fault.
