Replaced LC/Headphone jack. Callers now unable to hear me clearly.

Hello everyone, just want to say this place is great! Helped me fix my mac a year ago after a beer spilt on it!

On to the iPhone, I have an iPhone 6 that wasn't charging correctly so I replaced the LC/headphone Jack with parts from IFixIt. Charging works great but now callers are unable to hear me clearly at all, some times it just cuts out and other times its scratchy. I tested my voice in the voice recorder and it comes in clear so I'm assuming its the antenna? Ive re connected it multiple times and it hasn't solved my problem. Any help would be great, could it also be a defective new part?

So after some more investigation people are able to hear me when talking on speaker phone, but when I place the phone to my face like normal they are unable to hear me clearly, it has static and cuts in and out. I also tried a pair of bluetooth headphones and when using those they work clearly for phone calls.

Most likely its a defective part, I would recommend getting a new charging port flex and seeing if that works. Also when you test the voice recording is the phone opened or closed? If you are getting clear recording on the microphone when the phone is open but then poor recording when it is closed and your on a call then you may need to clean out the little microphone hole on the bottom of the phone with isopropyl alcohol and/or compressed air.

Thanks for the help! Seems like I fixed it after doing some more research. The hole to the left of the lightning port was clogged with dirt and dust, after fully cleaning it it seems to work fine. Hopefully it last, I find it odd after installing the new part that the dust all of a sudden made it not work correctly. I'll keep everyone updated incase people have the same probablem. Thanks again!

It's not the antenna. If you are able to text or use cellular data, the antenna is good. It is likely that the dock flex has a bad mic or installed improperly. Recorder does not use this mic so it is fine.
