The Edge stops working frequently, and when it does other features stop working as well: the rotate feature stops, the camera won't take pictures and the "recents" button doesn't work. Perhaps other features stop as well, but I haven't checked to see which ones.
To get everything working again I power OFF/ON as many times as it takes to make them work.
Please advise how to fix this.

@bjdouglas this phone should still be covered under warranty. Before you try anything else, contact the vendor of this phone and get it replaced.

Are you saying this is definitely hardware failure (not software)?

It may be a issue with the display, can you give us some history(like a drop, water damage, screen repair etc.)

Had it just less than 2 months. Nothing has happened to it (no drops or water or anything). I notice that these features (Edge, recents key, camera, etc) always stop working if I don't use the phone for an extended period of time (over night or an hour or so). They stop working several times a day. I've had them stop while I'm doing something on it. I am not certain that the problem existed in the first couple of weeks. I didn't notice, but didn't use it so much.
