How to diagnose motherboard problems

I have an iPhone 6s that got water damaged, I know there are board problems. We have soaked it in isopropyl alcohol many times, scrubbed the board. Taken the covers off and still have no results. Can anyone help me out and tell me how I can diagnose my problem.

@caident no worries about the battery or the broken cellular cable. If you took these images after you cleaned your board, I'd suggest that you do it again. There is still an incredible amount of corrosion and debris of the board that I must assume that these images were taken before the cleaning.

Let us know how you clean it and what you use. Right now your board is not going to do anything for you. There is so much damage to the components that you better have the schematics, a good soldering station and plenty of practice microsoldering components. " Although I have no real experience", you better learn fast and practice microsoldering. There is no way to even start to tell you which components. You must clean your board properly, you must replace all the components, including the LGA U2GPA_RF as well as many others.

Thank you so much! I let it sit in isopropyl alcohol for some 6 hours one day and scrubbed every 30 minutes or so. I've taken all the other covers off and they all look good except under the battery hookup points. Where there was some minor corrosion. I don't have much experience mircosoldering but I'm devoted enough to fix this phone that I will learn. Do you need more pictures? Thanks again!

It'll help to see more. Again, you are bound to have to solder.

Ok, I will get more pictures. For you ASAP. And yes micro soldering is a skill I'm going to have to learn. Thanks a lot!

A lot of water damaged phones cant be fixed and its usually a 50/50 shot most of the time. The first pic you have shows corrosion and component damage. It looks real bad near the bottom middle of that photo. To me, it looks like the board is no good.

It did clean up to be look like its salvagable. Although I have no real experience. What parts would usually go bad in a water damage phone?

door

The battery usually fails first, then LCD assembly, then logic board.

There are so many tiny components on these boards that some issues may arise later down the road. I have seen water damaged iPhones develop battery issues, overheating issues, lcd back light issues and reception issues. That's why I say it's 50/50.
