Why touch function not working - becomes worser -?

Dear experts,

first of all, I want to apologize for my bad English.

Before I start to write my concern here in this community, I did a lot of research.

I own an iPhone 6 Plus. Over the last 8 weeks the touch function on the display have become worser and worser.

Hopefully, somebody can figure out the reason of this error.

1. [touch working >99% of all times] Approximately 8 weeks ago the display's touch function freezed sometimes, but with a slight knock on the device, the touch function worked again.

2. [touch working 97% of all times] The problem developed stronger, I had to strongly hit the device into my open hand to make the touch funktion work work again..

I assumed the display causes the error (because it was a little bit cracked), thus I exchanged it. Now I use a brand new display unit.

3. [touch working 50% of all times] Same error with the brand new display. The touch function works only 50% of all times. It's probably not caused by the display unit.

I found out how to temporarily fix this error:

- I bent my iPhone by pressing on the upper top right corner down while pressing the back of the device up, the touch function works while I do this.

- Opening the device and strongly press the area around the processor. While I do this, the touch function works. As soon as I relieve, it does not.

- When I carry my iPhone 6 Plus in my pants pocket, after that the iPhone touch function sometimes works or not . MAybe due to vibrations the phone might work or not.

Right now touch function is working 10% of all times. I fear this is going to 0% soon.

I really have no idea how to fix this problem.

It's definitely not a software issue, I did a hard reset (DFU).

I googled for Touch IC (not Touch ID, its Touch IC).

Maybe somebody knows if this will fix the problem !?

It definitely sounds like the Touch IC is damaged. If you have a flickering gray bar that occasionally slides down from the top of the screen, then you it's damaged for sure.

Unfortunately, there is no fix for this problem as it is damage to logic board itself. The only solution is to get a new phone.

This sounds a lot like the known problems with the touch IC in de iPhone 6 and 6+ models unfortunately.

Unless you're capable of resoldering the chips yourself, it's not something you can fix yourself. You'll need someone that can safely resolder them on the mainboard.

If you would like to read up on this issue, please read the following article, it explains it much clearer than I can.

But in summary, it's a common problem, and unfortunately something that requires a lot of skill to fix.

Hello,

I very thank you for your information!

I just read the article on mendonipadrehab.com

In the article they say: "simply heating up the existing chips in the hopes of shoring up the failed bond doesn't solve the problem for very long"

I like to try to reheat in the hope that my 6 Plus works until the release of iPhone 7, so it should work another 2.5 month.

With my old iPhone 4S I had the problem, that WiFi did not work, but after I put the mainboard into the oven at 200°C, WiFi started to work again für 2-8 weeks.

How should I reheat my iPhone 6 Plus??
