Reinstalled windows instead of using restore disks, video isn't right

I could not find the Acer Iconia W700 restore disks, so I just installed Windows 8. Now the screen is permanently split horizontally, wireless keyboard won't work, and the machine is useless. Any ideas for what I can do to get this working?

Meanwhile, I discovered the Recovery disks, but the system doesn't recognize them I assume because of the Win8 install.

Any ideas to make this a useful tablet again? Thanks.

When you used the windows 8 disc did you format first or just lay it over top of the old system . If installing a clean system its best to format first and start clean I would do the reinstall again and format the hard drive first. Then install windows . remember you will need to load your drivers and probably install a lan before you will have wireless connection you will get the drivers from the acer website. As for the screen you probably need to get the proper drivers for video card or apu .Hope this helps

Your going to need a second computer to download w700 drivers and save them to a usb drive. I would install them and do all your windows updates.
