Waterdamaged iPhone, broken display

Hey,

my iPhone destroys the display every time.

These are my steps:

1. I droped my iPhone into a waterbucket.

2. I cleaned the logicboard with isopropanol. (not working)

3. I removed the C5202_RF Cap from the logicboard. (is working) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PJ799GY3... But I had no new C5202_RF, so I leave it empty.

4. After two weeks in the morning was my display black with two red lines on it. (not working)

5. I replace the old display with a new one. (is working)

6. After 4 weeks in the morning was my display black with two red lines on it. (not working) (the same problem)

Can you tell my the my iPhone is always killing its display? Do i need a C5202_RF in my iPhone?

Hi Philipp,

That cap is a Wifi/Bluetooth cap on VCC_Main. I don't think it's related to your screen issue. iPhone 6 water damage is likely to blame for the damage to LCDs. I'd check C1505, C1530, C1531 (usual culprits) as well asd D1501 and L1503.

Sorry for late answer.
