replaced battery, now iPhone does not come on..

Replaced battery with iFix kit because of short battery life with OEM battery. Just finished installing and re-assembling device. iPhone does not turn on.

Reopened and checked all connections several times and still no indication of the iPhone booting up?

Did I receive a bad battery? How to check battery?

there are a few things here.

The battery you received may be below activation voltage (Due to sitting around in a warehouse for a while) if this is the case plug your phone in and leave it for a couple of hours to see if it reactivates it and brings it back to life.

If you have a multimeter put it on DC voltage and put the red probe on Red (See image), and the black probe on grey. Please only touch one pin with each probe or you can cause more damage.

If you see 3.8Volts the battery is flat

If you see 3.0Volts - 3.7Volts the battery is below activation voltage

if you see below 3.0Volts it's dead

if you see between 3.8Volts - 4.2Volts the battery is fine and actually has charge. The problem is with your phone.

Let me know how you go.

Thanks Melanie for the quick response.

The battery checks-out to be good (4.5 VDC).

I plugged in the power cord (with and w/o battery attached) and it still does not power up...could it then be the logic board? Is there any way to test the board?
