Why doesn't my speaker or headset jack work?

Hello All,

I did a battery change which was great however the ribbon for the headset jack seemed to be affected when I swapped out the battery. I tapped it with the plastic tool that came with my battery change kit and confirmed that it was the faulty part when it started working when pressed. I bought the replacement board for the headphone jack, lightning port and speaker and swapped it all out gently and now neither the headset nor the speaker work. Its almost as if its not plugged in. However, the mic, vibrator, antenna and charging port do work. Any advice on what it could be or is it possible that the part is bad?

Ive tried multiple headsets, changing the volume, turning silent off and on and nothing.
