Friend wants a screen replacement on her moms 6s but no 3rd party sells 6s screens since it has force touch. SO is it possible for me to just buy the 6 screen to replace the 6s? or are components different/would not register because of different screens?

It's not gonna work. Different parts. Different phones. There's plenty of third party selling those parts

The screen and all the components on it (Home button, Front camera flex) are different so no chance of switching anything on the 6s out for 6 parts.
