[Fixed] Tablet constantly reboots, even after factory reset

Greetings,

I recently got a Nexus 7 2nd gen to repair and it is constantly rebooting and the power button wasn't working. I changed the power and volume buttons strip, and now the button does work, but the tablet still reboots. Here is the troubleshooting I did so far:

- Looked for any damage or dirt on the motherboard (there isn't)

- Unplugged and plugged back the battery

- Tried a factory reset via unlocking

- Re-flashed the boot loader

The tablet reboots about every 8 seconds, so it looks like the power button is stuck, but physically, it isn't. If I press repeatedly on the button, the tablet boots all the way to Android. If I stop, the tablet reboots after 8 seconds.

I need to know if I'm missing something before looking for a replacement motherboard.

Thank you in advance

EDIT: I finally went and bought a replacement motherboard (It is quite cheap and fits within the repair budget), and everything is running smoothly.

have you tried booting with the power flex unplugged?

I didn't try that, but as far as I know, these devices won't start if there isn't a battery, or enough charge in it, even if it's plugged to a charger.

No, I mean the flex cable with the power buttons unplugged, but battery in. You can probably still sell the motherboard on ebay for a bit if it is just a bad fpc connector.
