Flashlight and camera flash not working

Front and rear cameras work but neither of the flashes work, nor does the flashlight work/light up.

Not sure which parts would correct the issue.

I turned the flashlight on but it did not work. I left it on and began lightly tapping the corner on my palm and the light came on and continues to work. Camera flash is now working also. The connection must have been loose.

Hi Phil,

Glad you could get that sorted out quickly. If this ends up becoming a persistent issue in the future (which I hope it won't) I would recommend that you investigate the upper component cable. This area powers the flash "bulb" in the iPhone.

Rather than purchase a new phone you could also try purchasing a housing assembly with genuine parts and either swap the cable out or perform complete parts transplant from the old unit to the replacement housing (if you feel daring enough) =)
