Home Button hard to click

I have a iPhone 5s, that I recently replaced the screen on. After doing this the home button was not clickable, it has to be now pressed either at an angle or really deep for the click to happen. I replaced the screen and button just as I took it off but it is not clicking as easily as before. The Touch ID work fine the button it self works as intended and click, just needs to be correctly clicked.

I reopened the phone and tried to tighten the shield screws but that is as much as they would go.if i where to hold the backside of the home button (while screen opened) and click it, it works and gives tactile feedback of being clicked.

I am here looking for suggestions on how to get it to be clicky again, so i can feel the tackticle response and it works.

Ok, so first let's make sure the plate is facing the right way, that's a good way to make this not work properly

After that, it is totally possible the part you've gotten wasn't molded properly, and the home button won't sit where it's supposed to. A lot of my 6/6+/6S/6S+ parts come with a sticker around that hole, and mess things up. I basically just have to remove the sticker. If you've tried all these things and it still won't sit right. Get your part exchanged. If they won't do it, PayPal usually sides with the buyer, and you could get your money back

Try to loosen the screws up a bit. Over tightening screws could result in the rigidness that you are experiencing.

Is everything aligned correctly?

Try rotating the button in place (with screen removed) and see if it's not aligning correctly?

Yeah I tired that also, my issues is not related to position or screws. It is a issue related to the clickability of it. The click is not happening and must be pressed down deep for it to register.

Had the same issue. I just reopened it, took the button out, put it back in and this time, didn't tighten the screws so hard. Clicks just fine now!

I would be very careful of this, as you could easily get the IP into the display, and immediately it would very damaged, but over time it would only appear slightly damaged
