Home button not working(HELLLLP)

Hey guys...

Im sitting with a huge puzzle regarding my iphone 5. I bought a new rear housing to replace my old one, i've followed every step on the ifixit website. After i assembled the phone the home button wasnt working.

I replaced the home button.

Change the lighting dock twice. (have 2 lighting docks)

Bridged the gold metal prongs.

All 3 chips on the motherboard behind the sim tray is still their.

Everything else works besides the home button.

I seriously dont know what to do anymore.

IF ANYONE CAN ASSIST ME WITH SOME ADVICE, IT WILL REALLY BE HIGHLY APPRECIATED...

Maybe your home button doesn't make good connection with the charging port. Make sure when you install the charging port you haven't damage the little cable that connect the home button.

The little gold pins need to be touching the home button in order to work

Im looking at my other lighting docks , it doesn't look out of place or broken.

This may sound silly but did you try with another home button flex, or maybe the little metal plate on the actual plastic button is missing (if you have new plastic button they sometimes come without metal circle in the middle)

I tried that already, maybe im just missing out on something.

But i just gave up.

Plz do man, i can use the iphone with the assistive touch. Want to fix the home button just incase i decide to sell it
