I think I may have fried my headphone jack

I bought a powered subwoofer at a thrift store and I tried to plug my phone into it. The sound was all distorted so I unplugged it. Now whenever I plug headphones into my phone the sound is very distorted. There is also a slight burning smell coming from the headphone jack on my phone. Will replacing the lightning/headphone jack unit in my phone fix my issue, or is it possible that something on my logic board has fried?

Audio still sounds fine when played through the speaker, only the headphone jack is affected.

Have you tried new headphones after you replaced your dock connector? Just in case.. If yes then like you said something is damaged on the logic board.

I have tried different headphones and still have the same issue.
