Why wont my nexus 7 turn on or charge?

My gf gave me her nexus 7 tablet and it didnt have the original charger but was still charging and then it died one day and i havent been able to get it running at all and i tried alot of things and its been off for months and I cant tell if its charger or not but i use multiple wires and adapters and the charger light wont come on i need help it wont charge or turn on anymore since it died nothing else is wrong with it

You have to change the charging port and see if this fix the problem. Also could be battery related problem. Try replacing the charging port first and if the battery doesn't charge after the port is replaced, try replacing the battery.
