links to sites keep appearing

Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 locked up and broken display. Customer said that it started randomly loading sites and links.

I did factory reset. Wiped the whole thing clean and it still starts loading links to sites. I rarely do Android OS repairs. Can someone help me find the original firmware and software tools to "unroot"? Is that the correct terminology?

Or, is this something familiar to someone who can help in another way?

Thanks in advance,

Sincerely, Dane

Check here.

If the Firmware is on there, you can use a tool like Odin to flash the firmware to the device.

You will need to install the Samsung USB drivers first. There are a few guides to using Odin around. This guide is for the Tab 4 but should also be applicable to your tablet.

Looking for more help on this. The links above are full of info. Too much to process in my case. Can anyone help me determine which firmware is correct for the tablet I am working on? What info do you need from me?
