Hello,
when I powered up my lapto a few weeks ago, i noticed a imove i did was gone
Can i retrieve it or do i hve to restart
I never deleted it!
I was working on it
I found the disk needs another repair
i did this a month ago!

The recent versions of iMovie are a little crazy ('08 and '09), sometimes projects appear to disappear, to find your project got to the Movies folder and then the iMovie Projects folder.
If it's not there then you probably accidentally deleted it and follow rj713's advice. If you discover other files missing and are sure you didn't delete it, verify your drive. Your Hard Drive could have issues.

i would NOT delete a video i was working on
and i never found it in the projects folder

The Gremlins that used to haunt bomber pilots during WW II have now moved into computers of young Mac users. They move things around while you're asleep and delete important files. Here's some information on them: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gremlin
Try the Find function from your desktop located in the upper left pull down from File next to the Apple at the top of screen and type in the name of the lost file to see where you moved it to..

why do they have to hit me and other young Mac users?
We did this because we had enough of windows
The light only comes on when they go to the bathroom or are looking for something to eat. They don't bother with Windows machines because those machines have all the problems built in.
i had my 9600mGT active and now i am back on the 9400m
I am using iMovie 9 and today I opened my iMovie and no clips or events load. I looked on th4e drive and they are all there in the imovie projects folder as usual. Why would iMovie not find them?
