Why is the connection on my new battery larger than the original?

I ordered a new battery for my IPhone 4S. The connector is slightly larger than the original (20/1000's wider) and won't plug in. Upon closer examination, the APN on the new battery is 616-0580, the old one is 616-0582. Did I receive the wrong battery?

Both of those APN are correct for iPhone 4S. The connector on the new battery should be exactly like the connector on the old one. If the connector is different you got a fake or mislabeled battery.
