Can you install SSD PCIe 1TB into a 2011 MacBook?

So I'm trying to figure everything out because I would really like a pcie hard drive in my macbook. When I click on my system report under SATA/SATA Express there's two Intel chipset, both at link speed 6gb but one Negotiated Link Speed is at 1.5gb and other is Negotiated Link Speed 3gb.

My question is, does it support and run full speed of a pcie, or what is the max speed SSD that is supported. Thanks.

Your system has a SATA III (6.0 Gb/s) interface for the HD.

You're only choice here is a 2.5" SATA III SSD.

What I think you're getting confused here is the newer retina systems have a custom M.2 PCIe blade SSD.

Your current HD has a link speed of SATA II (3.0 Gb/s). Most likely the drive Apple installed in this system is only a SATA II drive. I would recommend you do the following:
