Will only turn on/off with Express Power Key, not regular power switch

ASUS N53S Laptop

I am trying to help my sister out with an issue she is having with her ASUS N53S laptop. There are two buttons you can use to turn it on or off, the normal power switch on the top right if looking at the keyboard, and the express power switch located to the top left if looking at the keyboard. She always uses the normal power switch, but it will currently only turn on or off using the express power key. This loads ASUS Express Cloud Gate instead of directly loading to the OS. You then have to click the "To OS" button to load windows. After shutting the computer down through the start menu, the power switch doesn't turn the laptop back on. You have to go back through the ASUS Cloud Gate to load again. I was wondering how to remedy this issue in order to power up the computer through the normal power button once again. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
