Replaced iPhone 5 lcd digitizer touch screen now touch unresponsive

Hi everyone,

My phone worked perfect except for battery always dying and power button not working. I decided to fix them, but along the way I broke my lcd digitizer touch screen. No big deal, I ordered a new one and replaced it. I turn on my phone and I'm so happy with the results (power button works and battery holds a charge, home button works and zero graphic problems), however, now the screen doesn't respond to touch. Everything works on the phone except for touch. I can't swipe right to open the Iphone 5. What should I do?

What are the possible ways to troubleshoot this? Did I fry my motherboard? How could this be happening if I see the screen's graphics working perfectly fine? How can I make my iphone feel touch again?

I don't think the new LCD digitizer is faulty.

It's the new display assembly. The digitizer isn't in working condition. It is possible that you've broken the socket on the logic board. But, more likely that you've just got a bad part

I see. Hopefully, it's not that. If it's the socket in the logic board should I just replace the phone?

You could do that. Or, you could mail it in, to Jessa Jones, at iPad Rehab
