My phone wasnt cracked, water damaged or anything and all of a sudden my screen went black. My phone is on because I can hear my messages coming in but it's just a black screen. Sometimes I can see an image but not long after it goes black again. Could it be the LCD? please help

Hold down the power and volume down button at the same time. This will soft-reset the phone and should reboot it and it will be working fine again. Happens sometimes :)

I did that but the screen just went black after the LG logo went off and the sprint screen came on, sometimes it'll let me unlock my screen then go black. It's been like this for a week now.
@xcesv4c I ordered a new LCD & digitizer, do you think that will fix my problem?
Its possible but i'm not confident in it. Has the phone been near water or gotten wet at all? It could also be a failing battery. If you haven't already try turning it on while leaving it plugged in. Keep us posted!
I bought a new battery and it hasn't been any where around water or gotten wet at all, idk what it could be but it's driving me nuts lol
Sounds like an intermittently failing backlight.. the new LCD/digitizer should hopefully fix it and if it doesn't i'm not sure what else to suggest! Best of luck to ya. Keep us posted on the outcome :)

I'd suggest that you check your proximity sensors and the associate flex with that as well

I'm going to look into that, I can see that the screen is on but it's just black idk what else to do. I'll probably just end up getting a new phone.
