What can be causing white screen on screen?

When I turn on my MacBook it just goes to a white screen and if I tilt it, I can see a bunch of faint colored vertical lines. I thought it was the GPU but it works fine on an external display. I am fine with reflowing but I dont want to if I don't have to. If it helps, last 3 digits of Serial is JYD.
