White Galaxy S5 smash in Jeep door it didnt crack screenactment lcd went black oh still rings working. I was told the lcd is attached to screen and is replaced together . Is that true? I thought I only need lcd replace .

Usually the LCD assemblies have the digitizer and glass already assembled and its easier to replace the entire assembly.

Marie unless you have the tools i.e. LCD separator, If you manage to remove the glass without breaking the LCD, then you are definitely good. After that you will have to properly apply LOCA to re-adhere the pieces. Take a quick look on here. So I'd stick with the suggestion made by PolishRifle. Replace the complete assembly to almost guar4atntee that it is going to work.
