could I install a 2 ghz logic board onto a 2.1
macbook 2.1 logic board failed, or doesn't start at all, could I install a 2ghz one instead(found one cheap)?

Like Mayer recommends, make sure its compatible. This Link states that the 2.4ghz logicboard is only compatible with the 2.2 and 2.4 ghz models. So try to make sure the holes for fastening the logicboard and connectors are the same and situated in the same areas.
