How to put the cover back?

do I need glue to attach the cover? what kind of glue?

cingpingping, looks like it was originally fastened with some double sided tape. You will have to clean the edges of the old tape and I'd use some 3M double sided tape to re-adhere.

The cover will eventually come off if its not reglued.

I first used double sided adhesive sheets you cut to fit and peel off the backing - usually used for sticking card or plastic in advertising displays etc) but it wasn't sticky enough. I then used spots of "gorilla glue" but this didn't quite work possibly due to not using enough. I wanted to be able to take the cover off again if anything else went wrong. Probably would work fine if I used more.

Note: if you do use glue and want to remove the cover in the future, just use lots of spots around the frame and remember (e.g. photograph) where you apply it (so you can use a craft knife to cut through it in future). Don't glue the cover to the battery or any components, as when you try to open it you may inadvertently pull/tear them out. You may be able to supplement the glue around the frame with the adhesive sheets on the battery just to give it more "stick"
