Why won't my phone send or receive photos and group texts?

My phone decided to not receive photos or group texts. It has done the photo thing before and came back for a while. But gone again now. The not able to send or receive group texts is new. I know the phone is old, but with three children, it's all I can do now. Please tell me there is a solution. Thank you
