When turning on the computer, repeatedly hit F11 or F12 (depends on the machine). This will go to the Dell Boot menu screen which let's you choose which drive to start up from. BIOS setup should also be the last option there.

Were you trying to flash the bios? What happens when you hit F2 on the keyboard? Nothing? Have you tried an external keyboard? What does it do when it fails your command to go to bios? Does it boot to windows? Have you tried taking the Hard Drive out and then trying to get to bios? Then it will more than likely give you the option to go to setup and then you can get there and make your changes that you need to make.

something else i would try is to removed the CMOS battery, as well as leave the HDD out, remove the battery and hold the power button down for around 30 seconds and then power on the PC while its powering up tap F2 and see if u can get to bios then

Also please describe what your PC is doing when you power on, what does it do? nothing? if you try to let it boot with or without the HDD installed what does it do, this will be helpful for me to figure out what it is doing during boot and where it is getting hung up

what worked?

probably removing the HDD did the trick, like i said without it auto going to HDD it stops and asks you to go to setup and choose boot device, then u will be in BIOS

ok mine is doing this now. i reset windows 10 to new and then it screwed itself. now whenever it 'boots' it just goes to the dell logo and boot loops. when you take ou the HDD it goes immediately to 'no boot device found'. the only time when you can click f2 is when you are clicking it fast and it can see that you clicked it because the option choice gets whiter and bolder, then ignores it and goes to the no boot device screen.

This Dell laptop would not go directly into the BIOS screen but f2 would start the system repair for Win10. Choosing the advanced options eventually found a choice to start in UEFI BIOS. that is the choice you want. It immediately opened the usual BIOS screen.

Disconnecting the CMOS battery really helped, a quick and easy way to access BIOS settings!
