Screen black on startup, can still hear startup sounds/notifications
I have had my Samsung Galaxy s5 for close to a year now. It worked fine for about half a year until i dropped it one time, then at random times my phone screen would be black on wakeup with the touch buttons at the bottom lighting up. The easy fix to this intermittent problem was to just take the battery out and put it back in.
Now, i have dropped it again (yes I'm clumsy), now even taking out the battery does not work and the problem persists. When I start my phone now, it shows the same symptoms, I can still hear the startup sounds (the service provider one that comes up after the samsung logo). The touch buttons at the bottom flash here and there. However, the display is STILL black.
I've tried the holding power button, volume-down button and home button technique. It didn't work and neither did many other similar techniques, so im assuming its a hardware problem. Apart from the screen not showing it seems to be fine in other areas as i can still hear notification sounds, feel vibrations etc. Please help me!
