I need to find out how much it cost to replace fan for a HP Pavilion dv7 6178us Entertainment Notebook Pc. I have had the computer cleaned but the fan is still making noise, it seems I will have to replace it. The computer is about 3 or 4 years old. Can you help me?

susanhopkins942, download the service guide from here. Page 85 will show you how to replace the fan/heatsink. There are 5 different fan/heatsink assemblies for your model, depending on what processor it has. Average cost is around $20USD.
