Camera soaked with salty water

Hi,

Does someone have experience of reparing Samsung WB 150F cameras? The camera got shortly soaked with salty water. After opening the covers and drying for two days the cameras main functions started working. However,now all the pictures get seriously over exposed and at low illumination (at level when the overexposure is imposibile) there is blur or lines on the pictures.

Is there a separate light sensor for adjusting the exposure or is the light sensed with the picture cell itself?

I expect the picture scell has got some water and is tirty now. May you have any advises how to clean the picture cell? How to get to it with this camera?

hi, I also have problem with my camera! It's still working, yet whenever I capture all I can see on the screen is black!

Asko Mitrunen "After opening the covers and drying for two days" is not enough. You will have all kinds of deposits all over your camera. Disassemble your camera and clean each and every part with at least 90%+ isopropyl alcohol and a soft brush. Repeat that process a couple of times, then reassemble your camera and reevaluate for damage. Right now anything else will only be a guess.

Bought the stuf you quided, but got now a new problem: one stuck screw will not open.

Once I saw an idea how to open a small totally worn screw. But, can not find it now.

It was some kind of special knife I quess.

Will continue opening trials.

Got all the screws open with a new set of screw driwers. The interior does not look as bad as exected. However, one flat cable seem to be corroded - should be replaced. Now the camera takes over exposed pictures - opened at this site a new question of the light measurement and control of the opening.

At the moment my quess is that the opening stays full open newertheless of the illumination. Makes over exposed pictures at full automatic , at shutter speed and at opening automatic position.

Any adwises how to check the functioning of the opening?
