Why my iPhone is beeping?

Hello all,

so the iPhone 5c of my wife has fallen on the ground.

Screen is black. I was afraid to lose the data inside so i tried put it into iTunes. Obviously, iTunes recognizes the device IF the device is turned on, so no chance at this step.

I tried to put it into wall charger and started vibrate as crazy( like a second of vibration every 3 seconds or so). so i opened it and disconnected the battery. I left it disconnected for a couple of days because fixing is not my primary occupation.

I came back on it trying to reconnect the battery. Now it makes a single beep each 5or6 seconds. Screen still black. Visually it doesn't seems to be damaged, but somewhere i read about beep codes....I guess it's a motherboard issue. Can anyone helps me find the problem? i know the logic board is about 150/160 dollars or so. That's why I would like to be sure of the problem before buying the replacement.

Many thanks in advance, and good fixes

The beep/vibrate is the phones way of telling you there's a problem with the LCD connection. If you disconnect the LCD and attach a new one this will fix your problem.

Attach new LCD and then disconnect and reconnect the battery and you will see that glorious Apple logo.

I highly doubt the phone has a motherboard issue from a single fall. Have you tried reconnecting the current LCD? I've had an iPhone that was ran over and the logic board wasn't damaged.

David James, many thanks! it was an lcd issue! btw at first the lcd drow black lines on a blank screen, i had to remove a small part of the black tape to let it perfectly fit on the connector. maybe something has been moved after the impact. I don't really know why, but phone is working which is the thing that minds :) Good bye and many thanks again!

No problem, not sure what you mean by "black tape" the lines in the LCD means the connection isn't perfect. If you press down you will hear it click in place, the connector should be level.
