My microwave has been stored in the garage for a short time. Recently it was exposed to off gassing when someone used spray paint within a few feet of the microwave. Is it safe to use, and is there any way to make sure it's not affecting the microwave? I worry about fumes.

Kathee, just place it in the fresh air somewhere and let the paint fumes disappear. The biggest issue could be paint overspray on the PCB, otherwise there are no real issues with that.
