Why can't my Kinect track/see me?

Every time I turn on my xbox 360 E my Kinect turns on and the light Blinks green. After say 2 minutes the light turns red and can not pick up any images of anything. Once checking the system it sates that their is an error: C00000C2. I've checked all my cable and i have updated everything. So what is the problem. Do i need to get a New one.
