Which Graphics driver does the Acer Aspire V5-471 use?

in november 2013 my pc started to go slower and has a poor performance.

Time left, my pc power down every moment, and have very much lags.

In january 2014, it have an error in hard disc and don't let me use the device in the normaly order , have problems, don't save my folders, power up later, etcetc.

And i remplased the hard disc (500GB HDD) to a little hard disc (160GB HDD) and, when i install the windows, it needs many controllers, obviusly.

And i go to acer.com, install all the necesarily controllers and all are funcional, except one: GPU controller.

I try and try with intel 3000,4000,2000, etcetc

Ask to client attention and don't have solution.

Investigate and nothing.

You know what is the problem?

have the necesarily controller?

tell me please.

For the attention, thanks.

Hi,

If your graphic card is Intel, try to install driver Intel Driver Update Utility. It will recognize all Intel based hardware and will offer you software drivers for it.

http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/det...

But if your laptop is V5-471g, then you have Nvidia you can find driver here:

http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.asp...

Also you can use Hardware Vendor Detection Utility:

Regards.

Usually in this model of laptop we found intel graphics driver . so you need to install an Intel driver.

you can find this driver from Your official Intel website - http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/det...

But there are some model of this laptop uses nVidia Graphics driver also. so if you have an nvidia graphics driver then you need to go nvidia driver site and then you need to install it.

http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.asp...

If you don't know about brand name of your graphics then you need to run msinfo32 command on your computer then you will able to see there your graphics driver on your computer.

Hey, I am new to this site and I'd like to share you with some thoughts on your problem.

To identify the manufacturer and model of the computer's graphics driver, use the DirectX Diagnostic Tool included with Windows 8, Windows 7, and Vista.

1. In Windows 8, if you're in Metro mode, choose Desktop, then open the Search Charm, which is where you type in dxdiag.

2. Choose Start, type dxdiag in the Search text box, and then press Enter.

Note: If you receive the message "Do you want to allow DxDiag to check if your drivers are digitally signed?" click Yes if you're connected to the Internet. Otherwise, click No.

3. In the DirectX Diagnostic Tool, select the Display tab (or the Display 1 tab).

Note the information in the Name field of the Device section. This information shows the manufacturer and model of the video adapter or chipset.

(Optional) Note the information in the Date and Version fields in the Drivers section.

4. If an additional Display tab (such as Display 2) is available, then select that tab and repeat Steps 4 and 5.

5. Close the DirectX Diagnostic Tool.

Hope this could help.
