This device is part of the second wave of Polaroid's 600 series cameras that were developed between the 1980's and 1990's. It would instantly develop the film in about three minutes and the battery was integrated into the film pack.

It is always possible that the temperature is not ideal for the picture to develop. If you are using the film originally designed for the camera then the film is really old and not likely to work. If you are using the Impossible film then the film is very experimental and very sensitive to its surroundings. You don't want it to be too hot or too cold. In the directions of the film is says that at an ideal temperature of 70 degrees Fahrenheit it will take the pictures about 10 minutes to develop.

Flash needs to be on, unless your environment around the subject is extremely lit up

Usually for me, it takes about 3 minutes max for my Instax 8 Polaroid pictures to develop. However, this time I have taken the picture and 15 minutes later it's still not developed. I have taken three today and two have turned a peach colour and no other shapes are formed- the entire picture is peach and my third one has some spots of the picture on it but it still has not fully come through within 15 minutes. Help!!

door

Well maybe you are taking the picture in the dark, because if you take it in the dark it will not show up

door

I just started im new i took one with my dog and mine is a black pic it wont show up

Your film could have possibly expired, unused film even in it's sealed packaging won't last more than usually 5 to 10 year's. If you try to use film 5 to 10 year's after it expired the photo's will either be very faint and or tingish/orangeish or absolutely nothing at all. You can buy new film at Polaroid Immposibles.Com or at Target Department Store's in the Electronic's department but it's a little expensive though.

If it is not working , it is probaly to hot. Try puting it in the fridge for NO MORE then 1-3 minutes.

You have to let it in the dark so it can develop at least 5 to 10 minutes if not developing shake it for 10 seconds and then put it back in the dark for 5 to 10 minutes if not developed by then shake it more for 10 minutes and if not developed then leave over night

Don’t shake it! Shaking it won’t do anything. If you shake it the photo will not come out.

door

Shaking it will cause spots in the picture; if you shake it too much. If you do a little its fine (it wont really effect it), but shaking hard or for too long will ruin the image and wont develop clearly.

Check your rollers. At the bottom of the Polaroid film is the big white rectangle, this is where the chemicals are stored. If your rollers are dirty or glazed then they won't spread the emulsifier correctly and your prints won't come out. Open your camera with no film in it, and clean the rollers with rubbing alcohol, the stronger the better. Use cotton swabs. Chemicals get all over them and gum them up. Clean them and check that they are rolling well. Make sure your film cartridge is well seated and then try again.

Don't shake the film it doesn't do anything.

It has happened to me to. Its Okay Guys! Calm Down. The Film Is Probably Older Than The Other Films You Have. Or Maybe Its Just Malfunctioning. Y'know You Can Just Get Another Pack. I Got Another And It Worked Again. But If You Dont Want To Waste Money, Try Other Methods To Fix Your Problem! Okay Thats It.

The same thing is happening to me. The film I have is brand new, and I'm at the beach in GREAT lighting trying to take pictures of myself, the sky, and the water. Nothing is showing up and I've taken 4.

Using the Polaroid original film it can take up to 15 minutes for a film to develop properly. Once you’ve taken a picture immediately put it somewhere dark as they are still very sensitive to light for a few seconds. Check it after a few minutes. NEVER SHAKE THE PICTURE!!!

If the pictures are blank it could be that the rollers in the camera have become loose so aren’t properly rupturing the chemical tab, this will normally result in a kind of yellowy square where the picture should be.

If it’s all white try using the expose slider on the camera to darken the next image.

This same thing happened to me… Everyone told me to shake it and leave it in the sun. Don’t do that! That will make it too hot. Instead, leave it facing down in a dark, room temp room and it should develop. If still not working and it’s the first pic in that film cartridge, it might be because the company buts a black starter to make sure your camera is working properly. If it is the first pic and the tester doesn’t come out, than you might have to open the back of your camera (where you place the film) take out the film (if you have in already) and you shall see a little rectangle. If the rectangle is dirty, simply add some baby oil on a Cotten ball and wipe the rectangle gentally . Please comment if none of this works and I’ll do some research.

You have to remember that once it ejects the film cover after you have I started a new film pack, you CANNOT open the back cover (the place where you put the film) again because once the film cover is opened the photos are vulnerable and if they are exposed to any light before you have used them for a picture, all of the film will be ruined and unusable. Hope that helps.

you have to wait about 10 minutes for the picture to fully generate. Some people say that heat light and shaking it can help this situation.
