MBP Retina is not turning on after water-damage

Hi

i have a MBP Retia with a water damage. Everything is now dry an cleaned.

As you probably guessed, the MB doesn't turn on, if the power button ist pressed.

A PC-repair-shop siad, it is probably the logicbaord. But befor i buy a new logicbaord, i want to be sure, that's realy the problem. i heard that it's often something else.

when i connect the magsafe-powercoard it turns orange after 3 seconds. So this means it is loading, right?

So i tryed to bypass the powerbutton by connecting the 2 pins on the logicbaord-keyboard-connector.

When i do this, the LED on the magsafe turns green for three seconds and then back orane. nothing else happens.

what does this mean? the logicbaord can't be completly dead, right?

can you help?

The magsafe turning orange means the charging chain is good. The keyboard ribbon must be disconnected to jump the machine... did you do that?

If the machine still won't start (does nothing at all) then there are multiple problems with logic board components and/or circuitry.

this mornig, magsafe is green, if plugged if. is this good?

i didn't know this with the keybaord ribbon. unplugged it now but no difference. the green led goes off for a moment and then back on.

Is there a way to narrow down the problem?

Only with your eyeball and a magnifying glass. Look for corrosion (discolored circuit leads, burn marks or swollen components).

Look up BitPC Repair on Ebay. He has worked on my tough repairs in the past and fixed about 99% of them. Charges $120 for the repair. If you are like me you probably want to try to fix it yourself. The green light and the amber light are a good sign so its getting power and charging the battery. Trying it with a good known working keyboard for that model would be a good start. Although if the keyboard is affected it would start as soon as you plug in your magsafe adapter. I have one right now that had water damage and may need a new topcase, AHT is giving me an error for a temp sensor and the fan is spinning at the max level. I like doing my research to an extent, but when it gets over my head I send it off to the experts.
