black screen at start up
g5 1145 imac won't boot up upon start. on one shut down i heard a long tone sound from shutting down. please assist me with this issue. just bought this computer.

with no screen yet light on,,fan eventually begins to rev up but still have the black screen

Terry, this is going to be tough since you do not have any history with this computer. It could be bad capacitors etc. Check this answer first Screen doesn't always turn on
