I have an Xbox 360, had the mod chip and all, but they found me out through Xbox live and my mod chip got burnt, banned from Xbox Live and now it won't play most original games. I just need to know if it can be fixed or do I need to buy a new 360?

afaik - if they banned it - it will stay banned (until the year 9999)

id say buy a new xbox its impossible to get unbaned from xbox live sorry

Ok old post, I know you can get xbox account unbanned it's on you tube but you can't unban a colsole ban.
I have a question, I purposely bought a second hand BANNED fat console because i wanted to case mod and have a play around inside i've done the 12 volt fan mod added heat sink fans and got Talismoon Whisper fans in it. kept the white plastic but it's fully loaded with green LED's so when powered on all the vents glow green. Anyway cut to the chase the hdd needed a format which i did but I can't get my profile back on a banned console because I can't download as it refuses a internet connection and nobody I know has an xbox except my cousin in Scotland so other than ship my hdd a couple of hundred miles North am I all out of options??
I have a compatible usb stick which the slim (before I sold it) reads but the fat wont read it I am also familiar with Xport360, Horizon and Modio so is there a way to get my profile downloaded to PC so I can transfer it with Xport360?

Once ur banned, ur banned. No way of circumventing that. If u do decide to MOD another x-box, just be sure to "flash" the drive and you'll prevent being banned again. Modifying without flashing the drive is pointless.

I believe there is a fix, but it requires a massive ammount of soldering, and annother xbox's CPU key. When an Xbox gets banned, it's CPU key (It's unique ID) is what gets banned. This should explain it much better than I can.

Currently there is no way to unban your xbox. You either have to deal with no xbox live, or get a new xbox.

This happened to my friend, we spent a couple days trying to find a way to get him unban, but to no avail. Just thought I would state my experience with this issue.

Sounds more like you are having issues with the box not reading games over the lack of xbox live. yes there is a fix but it is pointless unless you have another xbox's that is broken that you pulled the keyvaults from prior to it not working.
The xbox is not reading original games likely the laser has become weak look into "xbox 360 POT Tweak" to remedy the disc's not being readable. also this will not fix the problem forever as the laser is coming to the end of its life and boosting the power will reduce its remaining life span look into getting a replacement drive for your xbox as it is only a matter of time until you will need to replace it.
Drive replace is easy as when you buy a new drive you can just swap the pcb board in the new drive with the one from the old drive and you will be up and running right away ( no need to reflash the PCB with the motherboard matched keys.)

They ban you because you aren't really allowed to mod their devices and they'll detect that. It's best just to buy another since most other methods will also get you banned.

for people who have the modified version then get the adopter for xbox 360 before joining xbox live.

Ok I know this post is old but if you have modded Xbox 360 you need to buy a new KV aka key vault look up on how to replace one it's easy and if is a account ban make a new account and spoof the Xbox live gold you can find a gold spoofer under the JTAG/RGH section at www.se7ensins.com

I cracked my Xbox 360 white console it is old 2011 model it fell down nothing happen but it is pirated disc i hear some noise while Reading sometime open tray unrecognised disc i want to connect to Xbox live and update my console please reply and inside game to play os is taking more time but still I not ever connected to live
