iPhone 4 won't turn on (old and new mobo)

I was fixing an iPhone 4 and i think i damaged the motherboard (shorted it). The thing didn't blink afterwards, pluged in it was only chirping (no display). I tested the battery, which worked on another iPhone, a different battery had no effect.

I got a new motherboard now and it still doesn't do anything. There isn't even any chirping.

What else can i try/change?

Have you plugged into iTunes does it reconise it??

I would have tryed a new display before getting a motherboard

It was actually recognized yeah (the owner tried it).

I put the old motherboard in the other case (with a shattered display) and it works nicely. So i guess it really is the screen.
