i got my neighbors ps3 to fix he played it during a thunder storm and it got struck.now when you turn it on it stays on for like a 1 minute through 1 hour then shuts itself off all lights go off we have to unplug it then re plug for it to work again. i researched and i think it might be the power supply,hard drive, or a cleaning of dust from the fans. i don't know which one can you help.

Start with cleaning the fans, I believe it is overheating since most electronics shutoff at a certain temperature to prevent any damage to the system.

1. Try another power cord.
2. Try a new power supply.
Failing those, since you mentioned lightening, it could be possible there is damage to the circuit board.
