How do I replace an LCD hinge that's stuck?

I am down to the hinges on the MacBook Air. I now have the left hinge in my hand, but I cannot get the black part off the other part of the hinge to replace.

I have viewed just about every tutorial I can get my hands on and I cannot remove it to replace. Is there a special tool, or method used to swap out these parts?

Just to clarify, the two hinges basically have 3 parts. 2 parts that make up the hinge, and a plastic piece to keep the wires in place. I need assistance separating the 2 parts of the hinge. I have new parts, but not a completed hinge.

I really need to take a look at this part to give you a correct answer. Knowing your exact model would help, please give us the last three figures of your serial number. Thanks

Tell us about the replacement hinges you got and why you need to take them apart.

Looks like there are screws in the ends, Screw 10765, but I can't see what type of screw it is.

Here's a picture of the hinges. I don't think these come apart: http://www.powerbookmedic.com/Macbook-Ai...
