SSD upgrade for Mac Mini Late 2012 2.5GhZ IC 5?

Is it possible to upgrade the cheapest mac mini 2012 model too SSD?

Yes, all of the Mac mini's can hold a 2.5" SSD unit in-place of the SATA HD.
If you are thinking of replacing the optical drive then you will need a HD/SSD carrier to hold the drive.
Frankly, I would recommend replacing the HD with a SSHD (HD/SSD hybrid drive) as the better option.
If you are adding the SSD as a second drive then that works as you can then create a Fusion drive with the two drives (HD and SSD).
My home mini is setup with two - 2TB drives as a media server.
At work we use the mini's with hybrid drives. We had some older systems with the optical drive pulled and put in SSD's in place of the optical drives. We later stopped doing this and have gone with SSHD.

Hi,
Is it possible to add a SSD drive to the factory HDD easily and without loosing the warranty (I mean : the operation must be reversible and invisible) ? My goal is to configure them as fusion drive since the option doesn't exist on their store.

Yes, you can add in a second drive (HD or SSD) replacing the optical drive. Some models have a SATA port issue so you may not be able to install a SATA III (6.0 Gb/s) drive in place of the optical drive. Instead you'll need to instal a SATA II drive (3.0 Gb/s).
I would recommend installing a SSHD vs the dual drive setup as it's just easier and offers almost the same performance.
