Sleep sensor and on/off led doesn't work?

I opened my MacBook cause a friend spilled cola on it, i cleaned it fine it works now but when i close the lid theres no sleep or the on/off led in front of the mac doesnt work either please guide me on the mobo connector to these devices or any idea would help. thx
