MacBook appears to have power, but doesn't boot...
Bought a used MacBook, with the description that it "just stopped working", just to see if it was fixable. Unit appears to get power, when the power button is pressed, the light on the front near the IR sensor comes on doesn't blink. Hard drive sounds like it has power as well. Screen stays blank, but does flash as if it were to start coming up but stays black. I figure I'll try to connect it to an external display as soon as I can get an adapter for it. I do not get a chime sound when trying to power this up.
The LED on the mag adapter is currently orange and the battery LED's blink on the level of charging status. Light on the mag adapter will go to green if connected and the battery is removed.
So far I've tried switching RAM, resetting the PRAM, and resetting the SMC. I have taken the unit apart to inspect, the mother/logic board doesn't appear to have any damage to it, unable to see any blown transistors or anything like that and otherwise appears in good condition.
