How to replace battery on Sony Walkman NW-A3000?
Battery expires very quickly after charge and requires replacement, how do I go about this and what type of replacement battery do I need.

You can buy a replacement battery from Amazon here.
Replacing it is not that difficult, here is a picture that explains it.

I'm using that over 20 years and wonder why it is that difficult to supply a new battery for that when the existing one dies? Does Sony and its dealers around the World cares about that? I doubt much.
