Is not working while connected via lighting cable

Hi All,

I need some of your wisdom guys.

I have iPad 4 retina. It had been dropped before, and had touch screen shattered. Everything was working until battery went flat. Since then is not working. It is not charging, neither gets recognized by computer. So I was thinking it is lighting dock cable fail. I have opened it up, got brand new dock flex cable, connected, and still not working. So I took a logic board out, and put in to another ipads body, with charged battery, and surprisingly it started working. I have pulled logic board out again, took a loupe, and looked for any obvious damage, or loose connections, could not find anythings. Took protective steel shields off, and could not see anything, that would damaged. Then I have connected dock flex to logic board, and plugged in to computer, and noticed strange buzzing noise coming from the area, where processor sits. Same sounds comes, if connected to power via wall plug.

Cutting story short, logic boards works if connected to charged battery, and it is not charging, or getting recognized, if putted in old body case, with flat battery.

I never came a long to this kind of issue, and would be very grateful, if anyone can share their ideas.

Also, is there any way to charge ipad 4 battery directly, bypassing logic board? Or does anyone have schematic diagram for this ipads battery connectors?

Thanks in advance to everyone, and all the best with repairs.

Lymus
